The Church was badly damaged in a bombing raid in 1943. It was never re-built but a new tower was erected between 1959 and 1963. It is located in Berlin on the Kurfürstendamm in the centre of the Breitscheidplatz.

Rita Pavone die kleine Lausbub mit dem grossen Erfolg. Im 1963 kannte niemand den Namen der Italienerin. Zum 1. Mal gewählt und gleich auf den 3. Platz.
